VOLUNTEER TEACHER REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Our community of volunteer teachers consists of professional English language educators who hail from all over the world. We welcome all qualified and experienced TESOL professionals - both native and non-native speakers alike. Extensive English language tutoring experience counts as well, as long as you feel comfortable teaching grammar and vocabulary at all proficiency levels and know how to use various language teaching resources.
Please fill out our Volunteer Teacher Application form (including Teacher Code of Conduct).
Please send Kalina (registration) a short note at teachersforukraine@gmail.com indicating the exact date when you are available to start volunteering with us. This will help us avoid assigning you a student before you are ready to start working with them.
On your availability date, Kalina will pair you up with one of our adult Ukrainian students and she will send you a formal teacher-student match email with your student’s contact details and information on how to start your classes together (including the login information for the ERPI digital teaching materials and a link to our extensive list of free online teaching resources).
At that time, you will be able to contact your student directly to discuss your class time availability and your student’s English language needs, and to start your lessons together.
In case there are more than two weeks between your registration and your preferred starting date, Kalina might contact you shortly before pairing you with a student to confirm your availability to start volunteering.
SAFETY NOTE:
While we do everything to ensure the safety of both teachers and students, each individual participating in this initiative is responsible for appropriate conduct and creating a safe and nurturing environment. Please notify Kalina immediately at teachersforukraine@gmail.com if you have any concerns about the student she has paired you with.
